My Christmas present

Hi All
I hope everyone had a great Christmas with family and friends.
I received a beautiful yet unusual present for Christmas this year
from my girlfriend a NSWTD hand signal lamp? (i think that's what
its called). The nice fellow that sold this to my girlfriend said that he
bought it at an auction and was told it was from early 1900's and used
by the Wellington station master. There are some markings on it
* A brass plate that has the letters WTN
* NSWTD and directly under that a letter T
* A serial number 5062B
After a little research i did find a picture of another one online HERE
If anyone has any info on this lamp especially the WTN plate please let me
The red and bluey green lenses
WTN was that the abbreviation for Wellington?
NSWTD or New South Wales Transport Department and
what was the second T for?
A serial number? 5062B

IDR CW elephant van

Hi All
I recently purchased the IDR CW elephant van to mix in with my other cattle wagons.
This kit is a very easy kit to build with the only hassle was the clean up of the flash
between the boards on the bottom. The Austrains 4 wheel RTR wagon chassis makes
the underfloor so easy with only some filing of the weight necessary. At $45 the kit is
a beauty and good on IDR for doing a model of an unusual subject.
And a picture of the van almost finished just a little more weathering.

Casula Hobbies NPCF quick look

Hi All
When i got home Friday afternoon my parcel from Casula Hobbies had arrived.
Here is a quick look at NPCF 12052Q
Well im impressed  with these wagons as they have far exceeded my expectations. I like the
printing of the wagon codes with the old three code still partially visible and
im very happy that i preordered them to save $50. I say congrats to Joe on  the choice of
wagon and how well it came out.
Now time to weather them up.

NPCF cement hopper

With the future release of these wagons by Casula Hobbies i thought
i would show some pics of the real ones.
When i came across them in early 2011 on Kooragang island i didn't
have my good camera or much time but i hope there still worthy of
a look.

A quick trip to Carrington

Hi all
Well i decided to go over to Carrington for a sticky beak as i
have not been over there for quite awhile.
First up NHHH98011M and NHHH98012V in rough coat of blue paint.
That should make them stand out.
Another interesting thing over there was a string of different coal hoppers mainly
Pacific National ones but some Aurizon ones tarped up and some with no tarps
with what i think was ballast loaded in them.
I noticed a plate on NHRH50047G that i had not seen before.
And over in the small yard near the grain terminal three PQBY 40ft container flats
